There is something about purple polish with gold shimmer that I love. Are Mermaids Real? from wet n wild's Spoiled line (exclusive to CVS) is no exception. Review and swatches are under the jump.
Are Mermaids Real? has a strong golden shimmer in a purple jelly base. The coats go on thin, but dry very quickly. I used three coats in my swatches, and it is opaque in those three coats. If you tend to use thicker coats of polish, you may be able to get away with two coats, but then the dry time will take a little bit longer. I included swatches with and without top coat, but I recommend a top coat with this polish, as it will extend the wear time of this polish.
Overall, I give this polish 5 stars. The formula is easy to work with, and it looks gorgeous on the nail. I know there have been complaints about the brush of the Spoiled line, but I like the thicker brush because I can get my entire nail in one stroke. I included a picture of the brush below so you can decide for yourself if you like it.
