Cactus was a color I picked up on a whim during a Dollar General trip specifically because it was a different type of polish compared to my collection at that time. I still see it as an oddball in my collection, because I'm not sure where to group it. At the time I bought it, I thought it would fit well with my metallic polishes, but now I think it may be better off grouped with my browns. My review of this polish, along with swatches, is under the jump.
Cactus is a brown polish with a strong gold shimmer. The gold shimmer was what prompted me to put it with the metallic polishes (golds, silvers, bronzes, etc.), but after buying a few brown polishes, I'm inclined to think it belongs with them. Maybe a collection re-sort should be planned for summer? Anyway, this polish's formula is decent. It dries very slowly and is a little thick. I found it to be opaque in three coats, maybe two if you have a heavier hand. In some lightings it can appear to have a bit of an olive green tint - see my first and last swatches for an idea.
Overall, I give this polish an iffy four stars. It's probably closer to three stars because of the dry time and consistency, but the unique color bumps it up a full star. I do not have any polish close to this in my collection. If you can find this polish, I recommend you buy it - the color is really unique!
