Happy Easter! Today I have a very simple manicure for you all to rock on this holiday. An explanation and swatches can be found under the jump.
Spring, and Easter in particular are often associated with pastel colors. I capitalized in on this idea by pulling Essie Lilacism out of my stash. Lilacism is a very pale purple, and is a perfect spring pastel. I put three coats on each nail except the ring finger. For the accent nail, I used Revlon Diamond Texture. I picked up this polish while on spring break, but I hadn't had the chance to try it out yet. I used three coats with this polish as well, though I could have easily gotten away with two. The contrast between the silver and purple played out nicely.
Unfortunately, I was not as careful as I could be while my nails were drying and my thumb nail does have some very faint indentations in the polish. My top coat mostly smoothed them out, but they are still noticeably there. I used top coat on my ring finger despite the polish being a texture because I wanted the polish to last without chipping and because textured nails do tend to wear on my nerves after a while. I like my nails smooth and glossy to the touch.
I hope every one had a great weekend!
