Manicure Ideas - Fourth of July

Well, it has been some time since my last post, hasn't it? Finals, moving home from college, and not having my polishes with me for a good portion of May and June was enough to put a cork in any posts. However, I am back and ready to continue where I left off. I have a few post ideas from when I had a regular schedule in May, and I recently moved my collection into a Helmer, so expect a substantial post on that soon. Anyways, today's post features my Fourth of July themed manicure! Pictures and how-to are below the jump.

Rimmel London - Hot Chilli Pepper

Just a heads up, this will be my only post this weekend. Finals week approaches and I have many papers to write (the life of an English major, I suppose.) However, soon it will be summer, and posting will be back on the regular schedule, maybe even more often. In honor of summer, especially because it's been so cold recently, I am busting out the bright polishes. Review and swatches are under the jump.

Throwback Thursday - Nautical

It's Throwback Thursday again, folks. Today we are looking back at a very cute manicure I did to match a dress I own. You can see the pattern of it in the picture above. How-to and pictures are under the jump.

We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming...

...for a special announcement! (Or shameless self-promotion, whichever term you prefer) Ponies and Polish now has a Facebook page! If you enjoy the blog, go like the page! I would appreciate it very much. :)

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Coral Reef

For some reason, I have always associated corals with spring. For that reason, I decided to review one of my many corals for you all today! Today we have Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Coral Reef. This is the old formula, although I haven't picked up the new formula to compare the two, so I can't say if there are any differences between the two. Review and swatches are under the jump.

Revlon Brilliant Strength - Entice

I am a sucker for a mint green polish. Seriously, the mint greens in my collection could be sorted into their own section. I think I own more mint greens than I do yellows. But that is totally justified since yellow does not look good with my skin tone. Anyway, today I am reviewing one of my newest mint greens, Revlon Brilliant Strength Entice. Review and swatches can be found under the jump.

Pair Together - China Glaze For Audrey and Orly Saturated

There is something about these two polishes that just make sense together. I previously used them together in my Sun and Moon manicure, and Saturated was reviewed on its own. Today I'll be introducing a new type of blog post - Pair Together - where I will pull two polishes from my collection that complement each other and show a few different manicures that could be done using these two polishes. The ideas can all be found under the jump. I admit I will cheat a little in this post and will not only use China Glaze For Audrey and Orly Saturated - occasionally I will highlight glitters that work as accents.
