Welcome to Throwback Thursday, where I talk about manicures I've worn previously. For this first post, I will be discussing the manicure I wore to see The Phantom of the Opera back in February. Details and swatches are under the jump.
This manicure started out with just Orly Iron Butterfly by itself. I had worn it the day before, but because of the matte finish, it was very chipped by the time I had to leave. Pressed for time, I pulled out Deborah Lippmann Today Was a Fairytale to put over Iron Butterfly to mask the chips. The effect was much prettier than I would have thought. I was even complimented on my nails by the lady working the merchandise stand. And it did exactly what it was meant to do - cover the chips in the previous day's manicure.
When I initially wore this manicure I did not use a top coat due to time constraints. I applied a top coat for some of the swatches in this post to see what it would look like. It simply added some extra shine to an already gorgeous manicure.
